Local Orders

The term "Local Orders"
is taken in the context of this document to mean: "Any variation of
Fleet Standing Orders specific to a lesser unit of the TIE Corps, such
as Battlegroup Standing Orders, Ship Standing Orders or Squadron
Standing Orders."
Abbreviations
FSO's - Fleet Standing Orders
BSO's - Battlegroup Standing Orders
SSO's - Ship Standing Orders
WSO's - Wing Standing Orders (SSSD Sovereign only)
SqSO's - Squadron Standing Orders
Individual Commanding Officers are hereby notified that any variation
from Fleet Standing Orders will henceforth be disregarded unless it
appears in a form of Standing Orders relevant to your area of
responsibility. No section of FSO's may be disregarded unless it is
specifically stated that you are free to do so in the relevant section
of FSO's. Commanding Officers may add to FSO's for their own Local
Orders, whether they be Squadron, Ship or Battlegroup Standing Orders,
but all such additions must be cleared via the Chain of Command before
approval will be given to make such changes official policy in your
own units.
Squadron Standing Orders
Squadron Commanders wishing to add to the duties and responsibilities
of pilots within their Squadrons may request such changes be published
in their own Squadron Standing Orders. The requested additions
must first be approved by the Wing Commander and Commodore. If
approval is granted at this level, application should be made to the
Battlegroup Commander. If the BGCOM gives his approval, the Wing
Commander is authorized to apply for final approval to the Flight
Officer.
Before being considered official, the Flight Officer will require that
he be given the URL of the Squadron Webpage. The Squadron Standing
Orders should be available on the homepage for any potential recruits
to see. Providing the Flight Officer accepts the BGCOM's
recommendation and is happy that no contravention of FSO's has
occurred, approval will be given.
Ship Standing Orders
Commodores wishing to add to the duties and responsibilities of their
Wing Commanders, Commanders, Flight Leaders and/or Flight Members
may request such changes be made in their own Ship Standing Orders.
The requested additions must first be approved by the Battlegroup
Commander. If the BGCOM grants his approval, the Commodore may apply
for final approval to the Flight Officer.
Before being considered official, the Flight Officer will require that
he be given the URL of the Ship Webpage. The Ship Standing Orders
should be available on the homepage for any potential recruits to see.
Providing the Flight Officer accepts the BGCOM's recommendation and is
happy that no contravention of FSO's has occurred, approval will be
given.
Battlegroup Standing Orders
Battlegroup Commanders may request additions to BSO's directly from
the Flight Officer. Request procedure follows the same format as
SqSO's and SSO's before final approval will be given.
It is planned to
incorporate links to Standing Orders (where available) in the TIE
Corps Database Rosters, so that when and only when final
approval has been given, the links may be shown on your unit roster
pages. Anyone taking advantage of the Roster Standing Order request
without first clearing it via the Chain of Command will have their
application rejected without hesitation.
