CADET PLACEMENT

The first major decision a Cadet has to face is that of where he/she wants to go after completing training on Daedalus. Choosing a squadron as a SL could be the most important choice for young officers embarking on their Tie Corps Careers.  Does the cadet want to join a power house squadron, or does the cadet want to take part in the rebuilding of the squadron. These are all choices left up to the Cadet.

The Flight Office assigns cadets based on their preference. If a cadet chooses a squadron, every attempt is made at placing the cadet in their squadron of choice. If a cadet only chooses a ship, then the Flight Office attempts to place the cadet in a squadron that is in need of activity from them.

Below I have outlined the make up of the Tie Corps. Each ship and wing is broken into the platform (game type) each wing supports in the Tie Corps.

SSSD SOVEREIGN

Wing VI - TIE

TIE CORPS BATTLEGROUPS

ISD CHALLENGE - Wing X - TIE
ISD SUBJUGATOR - Wing XIX - XvT/BoP/XWA
MC80B REDEMPTION - Wing XXI - TIE/XvT/BoP/XWA

If a cadet is unsure where to request assignment, he/she should use the guide above and place themselves in a wing that supports the platform he/she uses. I want to remind all cadets, that though each wing has a specific platform listed, the TC has become very diverse. Each wing and ship supports all three of the Lucas Arts (TM) platforms, TIE, XvT, and XWA, and every wing in the TC does boast some MP activity.

The Flight Office main goal is to have a Corps of active squadrons. Sometimes this is not always the case, and some squadrons have less activity and less members than would be appropriate. This can be caused for a large number of reasons. What was once a full and active squadron can have their numbers diminished by pilots leaving for the Elites, taking Command positions in other units of the TC, or even due to some pilots leaving because of real life issues. These squadrons are not troubled squadrons, but have been lowered to numbers that effect their overall activity. While choosing a squadron, I ask that all cadets browse the roster and see if they would fit into the squadron make up, searching for squadrons that have less than 6 members on them. It is the cadets chance, right off the bat, to make a difference and a contribution in the TC. These squadrons need your help! Are you up to the task Pilot? I refer you to the FLEET ROSTER PAGE for a look at the squadrons and wings you may be joining.

Again, squadrons with less than 6 members need fresh blood and require strong, dependable and enthusiastic Cadets to help revitalize them. It is merely a guide for the cadets to find a squadron if they are unsure where to start their Tie Corps Careers.
